El Grito is the annual celebration of Mexican Independence Day, which takes place September 16th. Join us for weekend of fun and prepare to be immersed in music culture from the start line to the finish line to the post-race fiesta. My friends, salud!

The Course
The course is 5k (3.1 miles). Start & finish line in the corner of Mines Ave. and Rosemead Blvd. Participants run/walk through the streets of Pico Rivera; east of Mines Ave to Passons Blvd and a stretch of a walk path along the San Gabriel River--one direction loop. Post-Race Fiesta Activities: Receive your Tacos N Beer(21+) Live Mariachi Music LIve bands and DJs Piñata bashing party Tug-o-war Games and more.... Tacos N Beer 5k Race Awards: To the top three overall Male and Female Finishers--based on chip timing results. FUN COMPETITION: Will give Awards in the Categories of Traditional Costume: Team and Individual competition. Your race bib must be visible on the costume. Largest Team (most members registered)
Parking Information
You may park in the Park's parking areas (note some areas will not be available), and to the adjacent school parking lot. More information is coming up.
REFUND POLICY
All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is noted on our registration application, and when you register for any of our events you must agree to this policy. You may not alter, reproduce, give or sell your race bib number to another individual – if you do, this could result in your disqualification as well as the runner who uses your race bib number. The entry fee for this year's event will NOT transfer to next year's event, no exceptions. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business or family emergency, pregnancy, etc. There are NO exceptions. Please note that the Tacos and Beer 5K and RunCarrera reserves the right to reject any entry.
